Description

The Virgin Narrows is a particularly spectacular part of Zion National Park in Utah. You can hike up the Virgin River through the Narrows. The Narrows are at times over 2000 feet tall and only 20 feet wide. We timed the hike perfectly to make sure we had the appropriate lighting for good photographs. Really fun hike!

Dad and I went on a ten week kayak and photography tour after I graduated from Warren Wilson College in 2007. We planned and prepped for the trip for over a year. We focused on visiting National and State Parks west of Colorado. Photography and outdoor activities were the main drive of the trip. Wonderful experience!
